Our program prepares students for high school and helps students develop skills for success.
Students work at their own pace without live or on-demand teacher interaction, similar to independent study.

Asynchronous Courses
- Parent-led courses with pacing guidelines help students stay on track
- Highly-qualified, licensed teacher support is available via email most evenings and Saturdays
- Teachers offer grading and assignment assistance through email
- Parent/guardian observer accounts available
Wide Variety of Courses
- Over 20 subject areas in both core and elective classes
- All courses follow Utah State Standards
- Courses available for each grade level, from core subjects to electives
Instructional Coaches
- In addition to course teachers, certified instructional coaches are available for content support
- Coaches provide additional assistance beyond course teachers
Multiple Course Access
- Students can take up to six courses per quarter
- Must be a full-time CVA student to enroll in multiple courses
- Quarters are based on the session schedule, and students can access the next quarter’s content early once they finish
Final Exams
- Final exams are proctored at home by a parent or guardian, helping students feel more at ease during testing
Session Calendar
- Quarterly session calendar that maximizes course accessibility for students in Grades 6-8 to assist with successful completion.
- Courses are available in four quarterly sessions during the academic year. Courses for Grades 6-8 are not available during the summer.
